About me

Hi, I’m Helen - the maker behind Helen Paull Creative, a Melbourne based millinery and creative studio.

I’ve been creating for over 25 years, with a background in sewing, illustration and design, and millinery. What began as self-taught skills has grown through years of learning and experimentation and being inspired by talented people.

After many years of working in corporate product strategy and technology, I decided to make creating a bigger part of my life - swapping spreadsheets for feathers, flowers, and fabric, and as a result, a lot more creative clutter into my home!

My style is classic with a twist. Creating beautiful, wearable pieces with a little bit of the unexpected. I’m inspired by colour, texture, curves, and nature, and love bringing different materials together to create statement hats, headwear and accessories (coming soon).

I work from home in Bayside Melbourne, where I am inspired by my local surroundings. And I rarely work alone, with my faithful dog and sidekick, Stella in Diamonds, always closeby. She’s only an observer though!

I have just created my first Ready-to-Wear collection for Spring 2026, with more pieces to come over the following weeks in lead-up to the Spring Carnival.

I look forward to helping people feel confident, happy, and fabulous in what they are wearing.
